Therapeutic Modalities

My approach combines, a series of interventions and tools that I will use according to your individual needs.
During our sessions you can expect some of the following therapeutic techniques:

A combination of perspectives that include Bowen Family Systems Theory, Gestalt, Family Systems theory, this is based on who you became in the family you grew up in. Therefore, during counselling, I will ask you questions about your family history and look at how it may relate to your current situation.

Transpersonal counselling is centred on the spiritual aspects of human life. We will examine patterns in your life that you may feel are not effective, look at the beliefs that drive them, and explore new options. Additionally, I may invite you to participate in certain exercises such as ones that have a somatically (body centred) focus, or experiential “felt sense” process for the purposes of therapeutic analysis and resourcing.

During the course of therapy, some long-held beliefs and behaviours may be re-assessed.

How Therapeutic Modalities Support Healing & Transformation

In my practice, I draw from a blend of evidence-based and holistic therapeutic approaches to support deep, sustainable healing. Each modality offers unique tools to help clients reconnect with themselves, process unresolved emotions, and move forward with clarity and empowerment.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS helps us understand the different "parts" of ourselves—like the inner critic, the protector, or the wounded inner child—that influence how we think, feel, and behave.
Benefits include:

Gaining compassion for yourself and your inner experience

Healing past wounds by working directly with the parts that carry pain or trauma

Cultivating a stronger connection to your core Self—calm, curious, and wise

Somatic Therapy

Somatic work brings the body into the healing process, helping you tune into physical sensations, release stored tension, and reconnect with your nervous system.
Benefits include:

Greater emotional regulation and resilience

Releasing trauma and stress held in the body

Feeling more grounded, present, and connected to yourself.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy:

CBT focuses on identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. It helps clients develop healthier ways of thinking and coping.
Benefits include:

Reducing anxiety, depression, and self-doubt

Developing practical tools for managing stress and triggers

Rewiring limiting beliefs and fostering more empowered choices.

“One of the main reasons we're so affected by our thoughts is that we think our mind has an accurate grasp on reality, and that its conclusions are generally valid. This, however, is a fallacy. Our mind's view of reality can be, and often is, completely distorted".
The Charisma Myth, Olivia Cabane.
